Manage 8 to 15 artisans, working on 9 productions for 4 to 7 designers, during a production season. The costume craft shop produces all accessories & painting/ dyeing of fabrics. Accessories can include millinery, armor, worn puppetry, jewelry, shoes, belts, crowns, etc. Duties can include purchasing, locating, manage shop inventory, delegate & manage all items built, trouble shooting, equipment maintenance, along with build duties. Attending all production meetings, as the communication between crafts and the other production areas / directors.

2011-Present Driscoll’s Children’s Hospital. Hats are built for children fighting cancer. Implemented community outreach in THEA 1371 (Costume Construction). Students final project is to build a sunhat to be donated to local children’s hospital.
2008-Present Designed & Produced Costumes for various productions at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. These productions serve as both entertainment & educational tools throughout the community and local educational systems.
2008-Present The costume stock & advising/design assistance are open to all surrounding high school, university & community theatres. Rental fees and design fees are waived as a service to the local & theatrical community. These institutions include Flour Bluff High School, Harbor Play House, National Repertory Theatre, etc.

I know USITT to be very valuable to design tech students and started implementing These conference trips my second year at TAMUCC. I have also aided and supported my students in organizing weekend workshops for the theater arts department. I have also taught several pro bono workshops for these weekend courses. I have aided in the planning of the student chapters booth at Corpus Christi’s Dìa de la Muertos Street Festival.
2009-Present Recruiting & retention. Attend various conferences & auditions held for both high school & college students searching to further their education in theatre. Teach various workshops at conferences to ignite interest in the field of technical theatre. Employment at the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival opens up opportunities for our students to be recruited for professional work. These opportunities are key with retention.

2019 University WOW Tables
Helped man Waves of Welcome (WOW) Tables around campus. These are information tables to aid new students find their way around campus.
2019 President’s Ball Mardi Gras
Designed and supervised the construction of all costumes for the annual Presidents Ball. Escorted and supervised performers, wardrobe/makeup personal on night of event.
2018, 2019 Collaboration w/ Criminal Justice Depart. Murder Scenes
This is a collaboration with Criminal Justice, Wendi Pollock is the lead on this event. She plans a murder scene and we provide the actors and the blood & Gore makeup designs and execution for the event. Blood & Gore is applied in the Theatre Department dressing rooms and we provide 1-2 technicians onsite for any kind of touchup. This collaboration with Criminal Justice is not only a success for Criminal Justice but the Theatre students get to learn about on location work and practical Blood & Gore makeup application.
2015-Present University Island Days
One to two times a year I will either teach an introduction to Costume Design Course or do guided tours of the Theatre Arts Department. Island Days is an event where potential students and their guests are invited to come to campus and learn about the Island University and what we have to offer. This is an activity I greatly enjoy. I love to meet our potential student and their guests; they seem so very excited to be joining us in learning about TAMUCC and what it has to offer.
2018 Mary & Jeff Bell Library Banned Book Week
Mentored a 3rd year Costume Design student as she served as Costume Designer/ Builder for all characters involved in Banned Books at the library’s open house for Banned Book Week.
2013-2015, Mary & Jeff Bell Library Banned Book Week
2017, 2019 Implemented university community outreach in Costume Design I course. Students were assigned to design two characters from various banned books & novels. Costumes were pulled and built using production lab students.
2012 Mary & Jeff Bell Library Banned Book Week
Costume designed and built all costumes for our first year participating in Banned Book Week.
2008- Present Costume stock & advising/design assistance are open to university. Rental fees and design fees are waived as a service to the campus community. These projects & departments include art, photography, film, music, the library, etc.
2013-15 President’s Ball Mardi Gras
Designed and pulled all costumes for the annual President’s Ball. Did all fittings and organized the production night of the President’s Ball.
